Dr. Milton Stern is a board certified foot specialist who has been in practice since 1980.  He did a surgical residency in Detroit.  He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association.  He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons, a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, a Fellow in the American Professional Wound Care Society.  He spent the last three years as a podiatric medical consultant for Blue Cross - Blue Shield of Michigan.  He has spent the last 17 years studying heel pain syndromes.  Dr. Stern  writes and lectures on this subject.  He is the designer of the new hybrid orthotic mentioned in the article.  This orthotic has shown great success in helping with combination heel pain syndromes.
